Athos Bulcão is an artist who lived and worked in Brasilia. He designed inumerous tiles for buildings most of them in Brasilia like this little church called Igrejinha da nossa senhora da Fatima with the beautifull pigeons.

Brasilia 50 years

50 years ago in this landscape Brasilia was constructed and ready to receive it´s 500.000 inhabitants (now with 2,6 million). It took 5 years to construct the city in the geographical center of Brazil.

The urban plan was made by Lucio Costa and the buildings were designed by Oscar Niemeyer.
Here some images of the interior of the ministry of foreign affairs, staircase and roofgarden.

The nature around Brasilia is amazing and within the city pedestrian space is well designed with trees who give shade.

audi versus tree

In front of our house this tree fell on top of the car of Fred´s uncle who was passing by.
Strange coincedence.
Nobody is hurt fortunately, we were only out of electricity and had to walk the eleven stairs up and down.
